Really warm weather and strong winds have pulled the snow to the edge of the woods and water is beginning to flow into the pond and puddle on the surface of the ice. The colour of the water is that glacial green, not easy to capture in the photos below. I keep running out to the pond at different times of the day to take photos but never seem to capture that particular quality of colour. Within minutes of the ice going out of the pond the peepers will start to sing their spring song, I can hardly wait.

ReplyDeleteThanks Maureen, I would so love to "get" that turquoise, green shimmer, I begin to think that often photos are just memories and triggers for memory.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Connie!
DeleteThose reflections are wonderful in both photos one and two ... but especially in two. - an extraordinary image!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlton, I find that so much of photography is the luck of timing, the light in place.
DeleteThe second shot gives such a sense of what is happening; the retreat and the renewal. Love the crack too - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Fiona, nasty weather for the past few days so all is frozen and white….again….sigh.
