The Salt Galaxies

galaxy |ˈgaləksē|
noun ( pl. -axies)
a system of millions or billions of stars, together with gas and dust, held together by gravitational attraction.

Looking at the salt stains on the car the other day all I could see were echos of the milky way, and as I put the images into the grid I still couldn't decide which I liked more. So here are both and I will leave it up to you to decide.

Salt Galaxy 1
Salt Galaxy 2

  1. These are marvelous Liz-the salt cosmos enlarged looks like a series of sea scapes. My favorite is the lower right picture of Salt Gallery 1. You are finding new meaning in the words "to see a world in a grain of sand."

  2. Hi Hannah, Thanks so much for your comment, your favorite is also one of mine. It has the sense of seeing a shooting star and reminds me of the years we could still see the aurora borealis.

  3. so these are salt stains on a car? I would have never guessed it- they are wonderful.

  4. Hi Donna, They are gorgeous aren't they, probably very bad for the car and it should be washed, but we figure wait for more snow or rain.

I appreciate your thoughts and comments; thanks for taking the time.
