Driving Home

I don't know if everyone is as possessed about weather as we Canadians are, but really forget hockey, weather is our national sport, and with all 10 provinces under weather watches it promised to be an exciting couple of days. Here in the southern part of the Eastern Townships, we got off lightly, some snow, a lot of rain but seemed to have missed the dreaded freezing rain. It made for a moody, misty, and brooding landscape; must say I love it!

And, here in Quebec our national anthem is an ode to winter, and here is the incomparable Gilles Vigneault singing "Mon pays c'est l'hiver"Link here

  1. Thank you, Liz. Brought back many memories. Et merci beaucoup pour Gilles Vigneault! Long time since I have heard this and it is always "magnifique"!

    1. Thanks Colin, that song s such a classic, and just so true for our winters, hope things are well with you!

  2. Mon pays... how beautiful these pictures are. Thank you for reminding us to appreciate the many colors of our country.
