I always have loved the paintings of Robert Ryman. There is a postcard of one of his works "Medway" on the shelf beside me as I write this, so I suppose it's not by chance that these images captured my fancy.
I always love white. One day I imagine I will place a bone white dot on a piece of snowy white paper and mat and frame it in cloud white and hang it on a white wall the shade of sheets hung out in the sun to dry, and be content.
Hi Leslie, sounds great to me, you are a woman after my own heart! I took these images and used them to create the book "Why I Paint" Had to layer in more color as I found I could not reproduce such subtle whites as I see on the screen, something else to figure out.
Magnifique Liz tout ces petits bonheurs inspirés...ouvrière du noir je trempe aussi dans le blanc, les blancs plus difficiles à partager mais qui m'habite de la même manière... mes deux couleurs de prédilection malgré ce qu'on en dit. Pour moi tout est là dans l'arc en ciel de noirs, dans l'arc en ciel de blancs ... Félicitations!
Merci beaucoup Denise, j'adore travailler avec le noir et blanc. J'aime sa sobriété, sa simplicité et sa nudité. Il n'y a nulle part où hide.That étant dit j'ai besoin d'un changement de temps en temps et donc sa "Bonjour Couleur"
