Laying Tile

The floor is prepped and David and Jean-Matthieu are laying the tiles and making the most beautiful marks with the cement on each tile before they carefully place it. Needless to say I am entranced with the process and keep taking photos of the cement.

Finding Level

Before they lay down the tiles David had to find out how level the floor was and used a laser beam, which they then use as a mark to measure down to the floor; needless to say I was entranced with the glowing pink line tracing itself around the room. And where they had taken off the baseboard  it looked like lines of audio files, I wondered what song they were singing.

Forgotten Love Letter

We've started the renovation of our 40 year old bathroom, actually we haven't, Will, David and Benoit are doing the work this time and this is what they uncovered yesterday, a love letter from my darling; makes my heart sing.

The Ode Continues

While not sleeping the other night and wandering about the house I saw turquoise for the 1st time in the reflections from the refrigerator. I love this color and am always a bit surprised by how much it moves me.

Deep Freeze
