The 36 Grid

Yesterday; final files prepared for 36 coffee cups, so they are ready to print. Then layer [in photoshop] all 36 together. Have a coffee with a friend and bring home 11 more cups. Great day

    1. Thanks so much Fiona, I just realized the grid looks like the phases of the moon.

  2. I'll need a new keyboard soon if you don't move along to something else. The drool from salivating over your wonderful coffee cups is beginning to short out my laptop. And it's new! Ha! I agree with Fiona...simply stunning.

    1. Thanks Jennifer, I feel a break coming up from coffee cups, my eyes need a change and it will save your laptop. At least until next week!

  3. this has turned out an intriguing project Liz - the 36 grid really works with the repetitive shape and simple quite stark images - I love the way everyday phenomena can become so inspirational just through close observation to what is around us - hope you are too high on caffeine!!

    1. Thanks Rosie, the grid reminds me of the phases of the moon but with very long months. Always fun to see where an image wants to take you and somehow even more meaningful to me when it's something that I hadn't paid attention to but assumes a richness of association I hadn't dreamed of.

  4. Time to stop reading from the sidelines and make a comment! This is a wondrous idea. What a great image those 36 layers make. That is just so clever.

    1. Thanks so much Leslie. Fun how things / ideas lead you about, Start in one place, wander about and end up somewhere you never would have imagined. Quite miraculous really.
