Somewhere

A short walk in the rain with J. and Zoe last night. Came in and started to work on some images for the blog. Startled by the change in light I looked up. Mellow yellow came to mind as J called "There is a rainbow." Grabbed the camera and ran outside to see a double rainbow. Not an everyday occurance. Now why I think rainbows are magical, I have no idea... the pot of gold at the end? But for me they always make me happy and full of wonder.

  1. I am so with you on rainbow happiness Liz! I love seeing them and they always lift my spirits. A double rainbow is special too - did you know that they are reversed? If you look closely the one on the left has the red on the right (inside) and the violet on the left (outside) and the one on the right has red on the left (inside) and the violet on the right. I never knew that for ages...

    1. Thanks Fiona, I never knew that, amazing what I don't notice while in a state of wonder. Now I can see it. What had us so surprised was the difference of color inside the dome. Amazing things are done with light and water.

    1. We are pretty lucky with rainbow here, seldom a summer without a few and always the best in the late afternoon and early evening, don't think I have ever seen one in the morning. Will tell of gods of rainbows to send some your way. You would think after all your rain it was high time.
