Spring
According to what I've been reading spring starts today at 12:57 p.m. EST. Well this is the view out the studio door; it will be a while before I get into the garden. It's an act of faith to believe that under that mound of snow, there is waiting, green, and growth and scent.

I keep coming back to look at the shots of your snow. And wonder all the while just when your spring thaw begins? Just how long is your gardening season? These shots also make me very thankful we live in CT. Happy spring!
ReplyDeleteMore snow expected today Jennifer, this is an old fashioned winter and I'd forgotten how long they can go on for. I checked back in my notebooks and this isn't unusual and the skiers are really happy, the gardeners less. Happy Spring to you!

DeleteI am gob-smacked Liz! That is a lot of snow. The light is lovely, but I bet you can't wait to see the green shots make their way thru it, when there is slightly less of it.
ReplyDeleteAt least we haven't had to dig out the windows this winter Fiona, this is a south facing wall so I'm hoping for a couple of weeks 'till i see green, can't wait! Go well!
DeleteHello Liz - wish I had brought my camera here to Noosa Heads with me to show you what is outside our window ..... blue skies and a lazy stretch of river mouth yawning into the sea. Flocks of birds resting on sandy islands revealed in the outgoing tide, and boats, paddlers, kayakers - people enjoying this glorious day. To tell the truth, that was yesterday. Today it is raining and the aforesaid scene is hidden with rain and mist. Still such a contrast to the snow outside your window! Have enjoyed a wander of your last few posts - love the scroll books and their bindings.
ReplyDeleteOh Susan, it sounds like bliss outside your window. I know, well am pretty sure, that spring will come but with snow today and another 20 + cm tomorrow it's not quite on my schedule. We are suffering from cabin fever big time. I keep telling myself "'more time in the studio!"
