Already Missing the Prairie Light

We are in Minnesota now, on the way home, and just one day away from the prairie light of Montana and North Dakota. This is lovely country, very reminiscent of home but we are both missing that huge prairie sky and the very beautiful light.

That prairie sky, near Havre, Montana

  1. This so reminds me of The Fens, our flat lands here in the UK, and very near where I grew up. The area is tiny by US standards, but still has wonderful skies and amazing geometric drainage ditches and rectangular fields - an extraordinary landscape.

    1. What a beautiful area to grow up in, I went to Ely on a great trip to England I did when I was 16, I had saved up all my babysitting money for years, and just loved that area, hoping that some day I get back to do more exploring.
