The Ferry to Grand Manan

Bright, clear light, cool to cold breezes, shimmering water, simple strong shapes and grids everywhere. Did I say I loved that ferry ride?

Re-Working

I painted over the piece from a couple of days ago [Finding my way in the dark] and in a mood to run away [warm and green was sounding good]  I realized it really reminded me of a blackboard, so I found some chalk and started to draw. Well the chalk started to smudge so I got out the acrylics to draw some lines. Then some of the lines wanted to be filled in and so I had fun playing with shapes. I think I have cabin fever.

2 for Jazz

I am loving the shapes and lines from these boat plans that my brother sent me last week. After working on the web site [which is coming along thanks to some great suggestions from friends, especially the words archive and responsive ] it is a total pleasure to play with shape, line and colour.

Conversations, Part 2

The sketches/drawings on the wall [link here] continue to talk to each other. Actually some days they seen to dance about constantly rearranging themselves, while other days they argue... loudly. The past couple of days they seem to be arguing; some feel they want to be tents while others feel they are houses. Don't ask me I say,  I just want to play with shapes, and colors and line.
