During the Great Studio Clean Up and while it was such a mess I couldn't work there; and in between all the ripping and tearing I saw something I hadn't seen before, some way of combining color and line that I needed to explore. These works below were the start of the "Summer Songs"

Every summer I lose things in the garden: so far this year I've lost 2 pairs of secateurs that I'm hoping to find in the fall clean up. I've lost my glasses [don't ask how] and found them in the great clean up but last summer I was really annoyed when I lost half of the egg I wear with a turquoise heart on a chain around my neck. Eureka, I found it yesterday as I weeded near the patio and my darling glued it back in place. Still amazed that I found it.

It's done; the major studio clean up and clean out is over and I'm dancing. The space feels great, spare with room to move and grow and make, even the windows are clean. Hallelujah [and thanks J. for the window cleaning].

After parking the car in one of those huge and creepy underground parking lots we walked over to the exit stairs; I just hoped we would find our way back to the car.
