I found this wonderful brush last week; I hate the handles on brushes and this fits right into my hand, it was exciting to try it out on some sheets of Japanese paper that I had been saving. Well actually I've forgotten which project I had in mind when I bought the paper, but it was perfect for this. Now I'm thinking of cutting all my brushes down, and buying some more of this glorious paper. Laying down the ink the paper was so alive as it buckled and warped beneath each stroke.

This are fabulous Liz--Yes, cut off the brush handles!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tamar! I was amazed how right this stubby felt.
DeleteBreathless...just simply breathless...
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer, I had to keep reminding myself "Breathe"!
DeleteLovely! I've been cutting down my long-handled brushes lately, to make them regular or short-handled. Why do they make them with such long handles anymore? I think they must assume everyone stands up at an easel and stands two feet away from their work! Such a waste of wood, IMHO.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you fee this way too Connie, I feel like a fencer using long brush, fun but not quite what I'm after.
Deletelike hair un or ruly smoothed to a finish rare and breathing undeniable road maps of desire...carry on Liz !
ReplyDeleteThanks Carl, Having fun with these!
