Lethal Beauty

We have power! It's been quite the storm, so much more ice than the ice storm of 1998 when we lost power over a 3 week period, so there has been much singing of the Hallelujah Chorus around this house and grateful thanks to all the Hydo workers, firemen and all the workers who have just plain been amazing and wonderful. The sun is shining, well intermittently, and I'm almost ready. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, however you celebrate!

  1. What beautiful photos! So glad you've got power again -- kinda makes one stop taking things like power for granted, doesn't it! Happy Christmas to you and yours!

  2. Dear Liz, what a magical landscape the ice storm left behind for you, but I am so glad power is back. The novelty of no power wears off fairly fast especially when it's cold and Christmas! Enjoy the time, wishing you peace and happiness.

  3. What breathtakingly gorgeous photos of the snow and ice. Having been without power as well...many choruses of the Hallelujah Chorus are being sung very quietly for you right now...don't want to wake the little urchins too early. Have a wonderful Christmas!

  5. For us here in London, too, having the power back (after less then 24 hours) was the best possible xmas present! Your snowy photos are very different from our grey urban scenes - I sometimes miss the Canadian snow....
    Best wishes for 2014!
