These are shy little beauties, some years they seem to lie fallow in the garden. As you can see there is just a touch of pink at the base and as in so many photos of the garden this year there has been a lot of rain and this is probably their last day. I love how transparent their petals become just before they drop.
These are so beautiful. The translucency with the rain is amazing. I love the fragility of them and the contrast between the fine petals and the raindrops.
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlton, so glad you enjoyed them, they disappeared in yesterdays rain. The garden can be quite the teacher in transience.
DeleteOh my - these are so delicate and shy Liz; that hint of pink is perfection.
ReplyDeleteShy is a great word Fiona, I wonder if I'll see them next year, I'm hoping that because there were 3 blossoms the plant is getting stronger.
DeleteYou have an exquisite eye Liz. Have been drooling over tis and the past couple of weeks of post. Divine.
ReplyDeleteAs I said - a great eye, but you are also a superb photographer.
Susan, thank you, what a very kind thing to say. I have always used a camera for my work but I don't consider myself a photographer, my attitude is take a lot os photos and hope for a few!!
