As we head towards the shortest day of the year and the world is filled with more darkness, charcoal has re-entered the studio; deep, velvety charcoal that I push into the paper with my fingers and the palm of my hand.

Keep dreaming, these are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan...I plan too!
DeleteYes, exquisite, and I'd like to see the palm and heel of your hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, and I'm going through a lot of disposable gloves and face masks, but I keep tracking charcoal dust through the house!
DeleteDear Liz,
ReplyDeleteI had saved this blog to read carefully later. And what a treat it is! Love your charcoal drawings! They have a beautiful mood about them. Reading your thoughts was just as much a pleasure.
Best wishes
Munira
Thank you Munira for taking the time to read and comment, and I'm so glad you like the charcoal drawings. I only get to work with charcoal in between other work as I seem to spread charcoal dust everywhere, but it is such a joy to use.
